AAH Health is transforming communities in rural Eastern Uganda by providing essential healthcare and sustainable development services, including access to clean water and medical care. Focused on uplifting vulnerable populations—especially women, girls, and those with physical disabilities—AAH Health works with local volunteers and professionals to empower residents and create lasting positive change.
With two clinics in the Bududa and Matuwa districts, AAH Health serves as a lifeline for over 30,000 individuals each year. Services include maternal care, immunizations, HIV therapy, and health education. AAH Health's HIV prevention campaign, funded by the US Embassy’s PEPFAR initiative, reached 450 young women and girls and trained local communities in HIV prevention and safe practices.
Despite geographic isolation, these clinics are the primary healthcare providers for miles around, offering affordable, life-saving services. The clinics also create jobs, employing over 30 staff, many with medical training, and contributing to local economic growth.
