Start A CampaignDear Friends of REACH for Uganda,
We all know how necessary information and communication technology proficiency is in every child’s education throughout the world. We are thrilled to announce that REACH Board Director Carol Ann Bischoff and her husband, Mike Regan, longtime supporters of IT at the Arlington Academy of Hope, have established a matching grant program of up to $100,000 to help fund the Information and Communication Technology Program at the new secondary school we're building! Carol and Mike will match, dollar-for-dollar, all contributions to the IT Program up to $100,000.
The new secondary school, Hawthorne-Scribner High School (HSHS) intends to make IT proficiency an essential skill area in its curriculum. Student access to the knowledge available on the internet and proficiency in applying that knowledge to the problems of a developing country will determine how far these kids will advance and what impact they will make on Uganda’s future.
HSHS will open for classes on Feb. 15, 2025. Access to the internet will be available in each classroom, and the IT laboratory will be housed in the 2nd Floor of the science building upon its completion.
